Relief for Blues after scan and Chambo and Skusey on target for return

David McGoldrick will miss Saturday’s game against Blackburn but he is not expected to be out for too long.

The Republic of Ireland international missed last week’s FA Cup draw with Lincoln after sustaining the injury in training on the eve of the third round tie.

“Didz will be out for the weekend and the cup replay,” Town boss Mick McCarthy told the Club website.

“He had a scan yesterday and fortunately it’s not too bad. We are probably looking at another week or two.

“Hopefully Chambo [Luke Chambers] and Skusey [Cole Skuse]- who both missed last week as well - will be back for Saturday and we see how Myles [Kenlock] is.”

Luke and Cole were both sidelined with knee problems while Myles is still feeling the effects of a calf injury that forced him off at QPR.
