Emyr Huws admitted he is keen to add more goals to his game following his fine volley against Newcastle on Monday.
The Welshman scored the third in an impressive 3-1 win for the Blues at Portman Road.
After expressing his desire to play for Town next season, Huws also said it is important to contribute goals from midfield.
“I need to do that more so I will improve and get more goals,” he told Ipswich Player HD.
“I’m feeling fitter now which is credit to the staff and some good sessions at the training ground.
“I was happy with my one against Newcastle. I can’t remember it too well though because it was a bit of instinct.
“It was a great ball from Pits [Brett Pitman], and luckily I caught it well and it went in."
The Cardiff loanee added that the performance was impressive considering the spectacle of the game [Sir Bobby Robson Day].
“It was a big occasion because of the connection between the two clubs through Sir Bobby," he said.
“Everyone was looking forward to the game and from the first whistle we were up for it.
“We stuck to our game plan which was to stop them first then hit them on the counter, we did that really well."
