Ben Folami twice on the scoresheet as the 18s continue run of good form

Town’s U18s recorded their third successive league victory with a win over Colchester United at Playford Road on Saturday.

Alan Lee’s young Blues took the lead towards the end of the first-half with Ben Folami winning, and scoring, a penalty, as he confidently dispatched the spot-kick to the left of the U’s ‘keeper.

Colchester did equalise on the hour, but Conor McKendry hit back immediately with a fine drive from 20 yards to restore the lead.

Folami notched his second of the day soon after following some neat link-up play with Brett McGavin to secure the win, and ensure Town’s strong run of form continued.

Town: Hayes, Ronan, Cathline, Ndaba, Clements, Meldrum, McGavin, Downes, McKendry, Daniels, Folami. Subs: Wright, Wilton, Lankester, Murrell, Marshall.
