Winger to find pastures new after seeing his contract ended at Portman Road early by mutual consent

Alex Henshall has left Town after seeing his contract mutually terminated.

The winger, a product of Manchester City’s Academy, leaves Portman Road after making five appearances for the Blues.

The Swindon-born midfielder is now free to join another club after failing to break into Mick McCarthy’s first-team plans this term, featuring only for the U21 Development Squad.

Alex made just one start for Town during his time at Portman Road, as well as featuring for Blackpool in a short loan spell.

Everybody at the Club wishes Alex well for the future.
