Over 2500 fans flocked through the gates at Portman Road today, as Town held the Club’s annual open day.
As well as being able to see Paul Jewell put his side through their paces in an open training session, the Blue Army were also able to receive signed merchandise and photos off the players shortly after.
There were also a number of initiatives and stalls on offer throughout the day in conjunction with many of Town’s sponsors and partners as well as a performance from Blues’ latest recruits- the Uptown Girls, Town’s very own cheerleaders.
Manager Paul Jewell was delighted by the turnout at the open day and gave special praise to the Blue Army.
“It was great to see so many people at the ground today and I hope everybody enjoyed themselves,” Paul told the Club website.
“I was also delighted to see so many families here, as it shows that today is something that can be enjoyed by people of all ages.
“It’s well known that Ipswich Town is a family orientated football Club and it’s important we keep these community ties by providing events like today.”
