Danny Higginbotham is extending his loan at Portman Road to three months.
The 33-year-old Stoke defender completes his one month stay against his former club Derby tonight but has put pen to paper on a new deal that will keep him at Town for the maximum 93 days.
“We are delighted that we have managed to keep Danny with us until the end of December,” Town chief executive Simon Clegg told the Club website.
“He has settled into the team and the Club very easily and made it known that he would like to stay here when we started discussions about extending his loan.
“He is very much committed to the cause here and I know he’s delighted that we have managed to reach an agreement with Stoke that keeps him in an Ipswich Town shirt for the rest of the year.”
