Carlos among Town players involved in international action

Carlos Edwards was a number of Town players involved in international action, with the midfielder winning his 83rd cap for Trinidad and Tobago.

The Blues skipper was part of the Soca Warriors side that went down to a 2-0 home defeat to Peru.

Meanwhile Stephen Henderson, who has rejoined Town on loan from West Ham, was an unused substitute as the Republic of Ireland beat Poland 2-0 at the Aviva Stadium, whilst Josh Carson remained on the bench throughout Northern Ireland’s goalless draw with Malta.

Teenage right-back Elliott Hewitt was part of the Wales U21 side that beat their Icelandic counterparts 3-0 in Llanelli, with Gunnar Thorsteinsson coming on for the visitors as a second-half substitute to earn his first cap at U21 level.
