Town's U21 Development Squad will now play their fixture against Cardiff on Friday, September 7 at the revised time of 11am.
The game was originally scheduled to kick-off at the later time of 2.30pm at Town's Playford Road Training Ground, but the FAPL have now agreed to the two club's proposal of an earlier kick-off time.
The Development squad, which will be managed by Sean McCarthy and Mark Kennedy, will be mainly made up of younger players with the inclusion of a maximum of three overage players.
Blues were defeated by Swansea in the opening game of the season, going down 2-1 with Nathan Ellington netting for Town.
