Mick McCarthy has confirmed that he expects Scott Loach and Paul Taylor to move on in the summer.
Scott has been on the bench as number two to Dean Gerken for much of the season while Tayls’ appearances have mainly come as a substitute.
“Loachy wants to play football. He wants to be a number one and that means he will probably have to go elsewhere,” the Town boss told the Club website.
“He has been the perfect professional. When he has come in and played, he has done well. Only one ‘keeper can play though and Gerks has been great for us.
“I’m not pushing Loachy out of the door. It’s down to him wanting to go and play games every week and I respect that.
“If he does go, then we will have to look to get someone else in who will push Gerks for the number one spot.
“With Tayls, I think he will end up going somewhere else. He’s not being playing in my team and he won’t be playing in my team. He’s not my type of player.”
Mick also confirmed that he won’t be offering a contract to Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, who signed a short term deal until the end of the season in December.
No decision has been made on whether contracts will be offered to Stephen Hunt, who also signed a short term deal in December, and Paul Green and Frazer Richardson who are at the Club on loan.
