Lee Martin felt Town were more than worthy of their point against Blackburn at Portman Road this afternoon, ensuring Paul Jewell's side got off the mark for the new season.
The midfielder was part of the Blues side that came from behind to claim a share of the spoils with the Championship new boys, with a Jason Lowe own goal cancelling out Colin Kazim-Richards’ opener.
“It was a well earned point and it means we’re off the mark for the season,” Lee told the Club website.
“The heat made it tough out there but it was tough for both teams and I thought we did well against a strong, experienced side.
“I think it would have been harsh on us if we had lost the game and I think there were some positive signs to take, as well as stuff we need to improve on. Now we need to build on this and take it into the next game.”
