Young Town fan Thomas Slator this week surprised classmates at Hadleigh Community Primary School by inviting Blues striker Nathan Ellington to meet the entire school.
Thomas, who had recently won a competition run by Championship League sponsors npower to meet a player from his favourite team, decided he wanted to share his prize with his school.
Joined by former Blue Simon Milton, Nathan met over 400 pupils in assembly and answered questions before presenting Thomas with a signed Town shirt for the school and a Club pennant for the ten-year old, which had been signed by the whole of Mick McCarthy’s squad.
The afternoon was rounded off as Nathan and Thomas teamed up in game of dodgeball, before the Town frontman signed enough autographs for every pupil.
“I think everyone had a lot of fun today, especially Thomas,” Nathan told the Club website.
“Thomas is a top lad and I think the fact that he wanted to share his prize with his classmates highlights this.
Gavin Peters, PE Teacher at Hadleigh Community Primary School added:
“We were thrilled for Thomas when he won the competition and even happier when he wanted to share his prize with the school.
“We have lots of Town fans here and to have the chance to meet a professional football player was very exciting for the children and a memorable day for the entire school.”
