James Krause

DOB: 9th January 1987
Place of birth: Bury St.Edmunds
Height: 5ft 11ins
Weight: 65kg
Position: Left Back/Centre Back
Representative honours: England U17

James was spotted playing for West Suffolk by Martin Eels and Malcolm Moore and first played for the Academy U14's. He attended Samuel Ward Upper School in Haverhill where his favourite subject was physical education; he is currently studying for a BTech in Sport.

Like so many of the other scholars, James' parents, Richard and Trudi, have had a massive influence on his football career, especially mum who has driven him all over the country to play football. If football had not been an option, James would have considered being a pilot like his dad. During his spare time he enjoys playing golf, tennis and pool.

His biggest moment in football, to date, was his debut for England U17 playing against Iceland in a tournament held in Norway.

Is he happy at the Academy? "It is a great family club with excellent coaches and a track record of bringing through young players. It has a really friendly atmosphere and the facilities are first class. I couldn't be happier".

His favourite player? "Sol Campbell because he's such a great defender".

James shares digs with Stuart Ainsley and Ben Patten and is looked after by Wendy and Mick Sturmey.
