Blues Foundation Application Form
We have a team of companies who support the Academy financially every year. They are local companies who believe, as we do, that one of the strengths of this Club is the players the Academy has produced over the years.
Developing a schoolboy player into a full time pro takes many years, as they require quality coaching on excellent pitches as well as the physical and mental preparation that goes into each player.
The sponsorship packages we provide range from main U18s sponsor and Academy team sponsors to Academy Friends and Blues Foundation (see below) and as you look through this brochure you will see many examples of Academy Sponsorship opportunities and the companies who are already committed to us.
Each Academy age group has its own sponsor and the company logo is on the front of the Ipswich Town shirts for their particular team. Without the support of companies sponsoring various areas of the Academy we would not be able to provide the same amount of quality needed.
To give you an example, we have taken a team to the Milk Cup in Northern Ireland for the last two years. The week-long trip costs approximately £10,000 for the squad and coaching staff.
This year there were 54 teams competing in the Premier, Junior and International sections. They included Manchester United, Chelsea, Everton, Porto, CSKA Moscow, Bayern Munich plus Wales, Northern Ireland, USA, Paraguay, Turkey and Denmark.
We cannot get that sort of opposition to play against anywhere else so it's a competition worth entering. But without the support of our sponsors GAH Refrigeration, MC Contracts and FIS Windows we would not be able to attend. They also get the chance to join us on the trip to see for themselves what a worthwhile tour it has been.
