Alex Bruce has received his first call-up to the Republic of Ireland senior squad with the defender included for a two match trip to the United States.

Republic boss Steve Staunton has named the Town defender in a squad of 23 for the friendlies against Ecuador in the Giants Stadium, New York on Wednesday May 23 and Bolivia on Saturday May 26 at the Gillette Stadium, Boston.
