JORDAN JOINS OXFORD

Posted on: Wed 10 Oct 2007

Jordan Rhodes is joining Oxford on loan for a month.

The 17-year-old striker will go straight into the squad for their Blue Square Premier game against Torquay at the Kassam Stadium on Thursday night.

Oxford is a club Town boss Jim Magilton knows well after starting his League career there.

"Jordan has gone to Oxford to get some experience of first-team football. It's the next step in his development," Jim told the Club website.

Meanwhile triallists, French striker Steve Marlet and Polish defender Marcin Adamski, could feature in next week's reserve team game against Norwich.

"We have had the lads here for a few days and will look at perhaps extending their stay so that we can have a look at them in a game situation," adds Jim.

"It's very difficult to judge them just in training and even for experienced players like these two, it can be hard for them as well. A match will help both them and us."

Town play Norwich at Portman Road on Monday, October 15.
