JIM ON CONTRACT TALKS

Posted on: Fri 09 May 2008

Town boss Jim Magilton has confirmed to the Club website that he will be speaking to his out of contract players over the next few days about their future at Portman Road.

Sito's current deal comes to an end in June as does Dean Bowditch's. Fabian Wilnis and Sylvain Legwinski are also out of contract.

Fabian and Sylvain joined Jason De Vos, who is retiring from football to take up a media career back home in Canada, in leading the team out for a lap of honour after the last game of the season win over Hull. The three received a guard of honour from their team-mates as a mark of respect for what they have achieved at the Club

Nick Colgan is at the end of a short term contract after arriving at Portman Road in January while Shefki Kuqi, Danny Simpson and Stephen Bywater have finished their loan spells.

"I wanted to let the dust settle on the season after last week before speaking to the players," Jim tells the Club website.

"I will be talking to Sito, Dean and the other lads to discuss things over the next few days and then we will move on from there but nothing has been confirmed yet."
