DUTCH GIANTS IN TOWN?
Fabian Wilnis has confirmed to the Club website that he is hoping Feyenoord will provide the opposition for his testimonial.
The Dutch defender, who finished his playing career at Blues at the end of last season, has been granted a testimonial by the Club for his close on 10 years service to Blues.
The game is likely to take place at Portman Road in the lead up to the start of the 2009/10 campaign, with Fabian telling the Club website: "I'm hoping Feyenoord will be the opposition.
"I grew up in Rotterdam and lived only a few minutes from their stadium.
"My dad was a steward there and they were the club I supported as a boy. My family are Feyenoord fans so it's a club that is close to my heart, just as Ipswich is obviously.
"We are still in the early stages of sorting things out for my testimonial year but if things go to plan, the match will take place as part of the pre-season build up at the start of next season."
Meanwhile Sito looks set to join Spanish club UD Salamanca after coming to the end of his contract at Portman Road.
