Town boss Jim Magilton has confirmed that is talking to Ben Thatcher about the possibility of the defender joining the Club.

The 32-year-old Wales international spent last week with Blues on the tour of Northern Ireland and impressed in his run outs at left-back.

The former Tottenham, Manchester City and Leicester player spent last season at Charlton but is now a free agent and has spoken to Jim about his future.

"I have spoken to Ben and the talks went well," Jim told the Club website.

"It's early days though and he is weighing up his options before we look at taking it any further."
