WRIGHT MOVE
Jim Magilton reckons Richard Wright has returned to his spiritual home with the 'keeper signing a two year deal at Portman Road.
Richard progressed through the youth ranks at the Club and went on to make 291 appearances for Town before joining Arsenal in a £6m deal in 2001.
After seven years in the Premier League with the Gunners, Everton and West Ham, he is now back with Blues and Town boss Jim told Ipswich World: "This Club is Richard's spiritual home.
"He has matured in his time away and played at two massive Premier League clubs in Arsenal and Everton and gained experience from his time there.
"We tried to get him back here last summer but I could understand why he wanted to stay in the Premier League and joined West Ham.
"He has not played anywhere near as many games as he would have liked in his time away from us and it is clear to see what this Club means to him when he came back on Monday.
"I think we have got a very good 'keeper at a very good price. He's motivated and hungry and wants to do well for Ipswich Town."
Subscribers to Ipswich World can watch the full interview with Jim and Richard in Town TV News.
Don't miss Richard's return to Portman Road on Saturday when Town take on Premier League West Brom in a friendly. Kick-off at 3pm with full ticket details on the ticket page of the Club website.
