TOWN CZECH OUT DEFENDER
Town are set to include former Czech Republic U21 international Roman Hubnik in the side for tonight's friendly at Gillingham.
The central defender has been spending a few days training with Blues and looks likely to appear in the side for the game at Priestfield, which kicks-off at 7.45pm.
Hubnik skippered the Czechs in the U21 European Championship finals last summer and was also in their side for the 2003 U20 World Cup.
The 24-year-old is at Russian club FC Moscow after joining them from Czech side Sigma Olomouc.
"The lad is with us for a few days and we are taking him along with us to Gillingham," Town boss Jim Magilton told the Club website.
The Club's chief scout, Steve McCall and first team coach, Bryan Klug, spent time in Europe last season as Blues started to cast the net further afield for players and Simon Hunt's appointment as international scout this summer has further strengthened Town's network abroad.
Town are likely to field a strong line-up at Gillingham tonight with Richard Wright included in the travelling party following his return to Portman Road.
