YOUTH CUP QUEST BEGINS
Town begin the quest for a fourth FA Youth Cup success with a home tie against Shrewsbury on Tuesday night.
Kick-off at Portman Road is 7pm with U18 boss Richard Hall saying the experience of playing on the main pitch which be all part of the learning curve for the young Blues.
"It will be chance for the boys to play on the big stage, so to speak and they are looking forward to it," Richard told the Club website.
"This Club has a tradition of doing well in the competition and it would be nice to have a good run again this season.
"The game has that extra edge in that it is a cup competition and hopefully the fans will come out and support the boys and again, that will be a good learning curve for the youngsters here.
"The priority for us at the Academy is not about winning trophies really, it's about the development of the boys through the levels into the first-team but we want to do well in the competition and being a knock out game, it will add that little extra pressure and perhaps tell us something about the boys."
Tickets are priced at £3 for adults and £1 juniors and concessions. Turnstiles open at 6.30pm with the Britannia Stand in use only.
