TIME FOR A CHANGE

Posted on: Fri 05 Dec 2008

Town have adjusted the training timetable this week to try and avoid a repeat of the disappointing display at Doncaster in Blues' last appearance on Sky TV.

Jim Magilton's side were well below par at the Keepmoat Stadium last month, going down 1-0 in a game that kicked-off at 5.20pm in front of the watching nation on TV.

After that game Town coach Bryan Klug said that Blues would have to look at possibly changing preparations for games that kick-off at varying times and that has been implemented this week with Sunday's derby at Norwich taking place at 1.15pm.

"We have adjusted training this week to tie in with the kick-off time," Jim explained to the Club website.

"Lunchtime kick-offs are awkward times, just like the 5.20pm match was at Doncaster and we certainly didn't perform up there so we have looked at what we can do differently.

"By training at the same time as we are playing on Sunday, we have tried to switch the players' body clocks into that mode."
