DUGUID PRAISE FOR BLUES

Posted on: Fri 30 Jan 2009

Plymouth's Karl Duguid reckons Town are the best team he has faced this season.

The former Colchester skipper, who will back in East Anglia on Saturday when the Pilgrims visit Portman Road, was on the end of a 3-1 defeat by Blues at Home Park in October.

"They were very good on the day, the best team we have played all season," says the versatile Duguid, in an interview in Saturday's matchday programme.

"When they click, they are a force to be reckoned with but we have proved that on our day we are a match for anyone as well so it should be a great game."

Duguid has a good record against Town, scoring the winner for Colchester in their 1-0 victory over Blues at Layer Road in 2006 and also in the 3-2 defeat at Portman Road in the return game that season.
