Jim Magilton says Town must bounce back at Portman Road next week after watching his team slide to defeat at in-form Swansea.
The Welsh club made it six wins in seven games with a 3-0 victory over Town at the Liberty Stadium, Jason Scotland with two and a 30 yard free-kick from Jordi Gomez the scorers.
The Town boss couldn't hide his disappointment after the display and said: "I expected more from us, playing the game on the back of three away wins.
"We were prepared right and we played some decent football at times but we lacked belief again in the last third of the pitch and I don't know why.
"We have played on the front foot away from home this season but today we lacked quality when it counted and we didn't test their 'keeper enough which was very frustrating.
They are in good form and had a real belief going forward and we didn't have that and that's very disappointing and hard to take.
"We've got to react now and bounce back next week. We have two home games coming up against Blackpool and Forest and we need to really pick up six points. We need to stand up and be counted."
Jim paid tribute to the Town fans who made the long journey to the Liberty Stadium adding: "They were fantastic and showed real heart and soul for the Football Club and we're all disappointed that we didn't put on a performance they deserved."
