TOWN SIGN PREMIER LEAGUE STRIKER
Town have signed Giovani dos Santos on loan from Tottenham until the end of the season.
The 19-year-old Mexican striker, who was a target for Chelsea and Inter Milan before he joined Spurs from Barcelona in a £4m plus move last summer, will go straight into the squad for Blues' weekend trip to Reading.
Dos Santos made 28 League appearances for Barcelona last season after joining the club as a junior from Club Monterrey, including playing in the Champions League.
He played in Tottenham's opening games of the Premier League season but picked up an ankle injury in November. He has 12 appearances to his name for Spurs with one goal, in their UEFA Cup win over Shakthar Donetsk last month, and is seen as a player for the future at White Hart Lane.
Gio was named as the second best player as Mexico won the U17 World Cup in 2005, behind Brazil's Anderson who is now at Manchester United, and has gone on to win 11 caps at senior level.
His brother Jonathan is at Barcelona while dad Gerardo, better known as Zizinho, played for Leon and America in Mexico.
