SHANE'S FRUSTRATION AT SEASON END

Posted on: Wed 22 Apr 2009
Shane Supple won't play again this season after scans showed he sustained a cartilage injury while on loan at Oldham.

The Republic of Ireland U21 international is now back in Dublin with specialists hopeful that he won't need surgery.

"I'm disappointed because I was enjoying it at Oldham and playing games and that is what I needed," Shane told the Club website.

"It's very frustrating but I have to get on with it and hopefully the knee will recover with rest over the summer."

Shane, who made five appearances for Oldham, where he worked under former Town boss Joe Royle, is out of contract at Portman Road at the end of the season.
