WEMBLEY THEN THE FUTURE

Posted on: Fri 22 May 2009

Liam Trotter is expected to speak to Town boss Roy Keane next week about his future.

The 20-year-old midfielder, who is out of contract at Portman Road in the summer, is currently on loan at Scunthorpe and hoping for a place in their team for the League One Play-Off Final against Millwall on Sunday.

Liam scored one of the penalties that helped Iron to a 7-6 shoot-out win over MK Dons in the semi-finals as Nigel Adkins' side booked a place at Wembley and the opportunity to bounce back to the Championship at the first time of asking.

Liam, who was also on loan at Grimsby during the 2008/09 season, is the only one of the 13 players out of contract at Town this summer waiting to find out whether they will be offered a new deal or released.
