TROY'S FIRST TASTE FOR TOWN

Posted on: Fri 10 Jul 2009

Troy Brown is set to make his first appearance in a Town shirt when a Blues X1 take on Gorleston on Saturday.

The 18-year-old defender joined the Club last week on a one year deal after impressing Town boss Roy Keane while on trial at Portman Road at the end of last season.

The Wales U19 international was released by Fulham last term and was spotted by Town chief scout Steve McCall at the 'exit' trials - training matches set up for young players who have been let go by their clubs.

Also included in the squad for the 3.00pm kick-off at Gorleston are Jack Ainsley and Reggie Lambe, who are both due to sign professional contacts soon and Ed Upson, who has been handed a new one year deal by Roy.

Bryan Klug, who will take charge of the reserves for the 2009/10 season, looks likely to take a squad of 17 to the game including two or three young triallists.
