BOSS: NO COMPLAINTS OVER DRAW

Posted on: Sat 29 Aug 2009
Roy Keane didn't feel Town did enough in the second-half to take all three points against Preston.

Ross Wallace gave North End the lead but Jon Walters levelled the scores just before the break when he scored from the rebound after Andy Lonergan had saved his penalty, with Callum Davidson sent-off for handball.

"It was frustrating but I don't think we did enough to win the game," the Town boss told the Club website.

"We had a lot of half chances but the hardest part of football is putting the ball in the back of the net and we didn't do that in the second-half.

"When Preston went down to 10 men, it should have been easier in terms of moving the ball a bit quicker and more penetration but we huffed and puffed but never really opened that up.

"We had no player today with the quality that could go and get a goal for us so I can have no complaints over the result.

"The effort was there, I can't fault the players for that but we lacked the quality in the final third and that is what football is all about.

"Having got back in the game with the penalty, when we were going for it we were causing ourselves problems because they were hitting us on the break. It was up to us to break them down though and we didn't so no complaints."
