JACK UP FOR TRIP 'HOME'

Posted on: Thu 10 Sep 2009

Jack Colback is relishing a return to the north east at the weekend with Town taking on Middlesbrough at the Riverside.

The 19-year-old midfielder has forced his way into the Blues' side recently after joining the Club on loan from Sunderland and is hoping to feature against a club he could have been playing for rather than against.

"I had a trial at Middlesbrough and Newcastle when I was nine or 10," Jack tells the Club website.

"Middlesbrough was an hour's drive away from my home and at Newcastle, it didn't really feel right so I went to Sunderland and ended up signing there.

"My parents are planning to be at the Riverside on Saturday and hopefully I will be involved. I have played in the last few games and feel that I am imposing myself a bit more on the team but the results are the main thing and they have not gone as well as we would have liked.

"We have trained well this week though and we're confident we can go there and get a result. The signs are there that things will change around very quickly. I think we just need a win or two to get going."
