BOSS TARGETS LOAN ARRIVALS

Posted on: Fri 11 Sep 2009

Roy Keane has confirmed that he is hoping to add one or two loan players to his squad over the next week or so.

New arrivals Grant Leadbitter, Carlos Edwards and loan signing Liam Rosenior are all set to be included in the squad for the trip to Middlesbrough with the Town boss saying: "They will bring added quality to the squad and certainly with Carlos and Liam, we will have an injection of pace.

"We are getting there with the squad and we are currently in discussions with two clubs over bringing players in on loan.

"I know there are other interested clubs in the players though and when players have options, they will take their time making a decision and I can understand that.

"I would hope that we will know where we stand next week and if we can get over the line with the deals then obviously I will be very happy."

Roy also confirmed that there were enquiries made about his players on transfer deadline say, adding: "We had one or two offers made to players about an hour or so before the end of transfer deadline day which was crazy and obviously that was never going to happen."
