BOSS ON BORO DEFEAT

Posted on: Mon 14 Sep 2009

Roy Keane pointed to Town conceding too easily and not carrying enough of a goal threat after the defeat at Middlesbrough.

Jon Walters scored for the second successive game but it was a consolation effort in the last minute after Gary O'Neil and a brace from Jeremie Aliadiere gave Boro a 3-1 win at the Riverside.

"Box to box we were okay but we could not find the net at one end and conceded too easily at the other," said the Town boss.

"We keep making things difficult for ourselves by conceding goals and it's obviously very disappointing.

"The three new lads did ok and they bring quality to the side but you can't win matches with three players, however much difference they make.

"We've got to go again against Nottingham Forest. I have made changes and have given players opportunities and some others may get a chance on Tuesday night."
