The Ayr Gold Cup (3.30) is always a difficult race to solve and Saturday's renewal is no exception.
A good place to start is with David Nicholls' runners as the Yorkshire trainer has won five of the past 10 renewals. His Evens And Odds - bet365's current 7/1 favourite - ran a stormer when runner-up in the Stewards' Cup at Goodwood last time and must go well.
However, much of Nicholls' success has come from second, third and fourth strings, so you can't rule out any of his other five runners - Garnica, Valery Borzov, Sonny Red, Striking Spirit and Fol Hollow.
However, our idea of the winner is Zidane. The seven-year-old went through a quiet spell after winning the Stewards' Cup in 2007, but has really found his form of late, winning at Doncaster two outings ago and finishing an unlucky (hampered inside the final furlong) fifth on his latest start at Newmarket.
At 25/1 with bet365, he only has to finish in the first four to ensure a tidy profit.
Whether you follow our advice or not, it's reassuring to know that you are guaranteed the best odds. Take a price on your selection and, if the starting price is bigger, bet365 will pay you out at the bigger odds.
