Asmir Begovic has joined Town to help turn the Club's fortunes around in the Championship.
The Bosnia international has joined Blues from Portsmouth on loan until mid January and told the Club website: "I know things are not going too well for Ipswich at the moment but they didn't have to do a big selling job to get me to come here.
"Ipswich is a big club. The manager is first class, the facilities are great and it gives me the chance to push for first-team football and that is what I want. It's a great challenge.
"I spoke to the manager and he said that things weren't going as well as they should be here but he was confident that they would turn around and asked me if I wanted to be part of that.
"It was as easy decision to make. I know a little bit about the club having been here a few years back with Portsmouth in the FA Cup and I'm also friends with Jamie Peters and he had nothing but good things to say about Ipswich.
"It's a Premier League club in many ways and I'm here to play my part in trying to make that happen."
