TOWN SET FOR DOUBLE BOOST

Posted on: Tue 17 Nov 2009
Town are set to receive a double boost ahead of Saturday's game against Sheffield Wednesday with Tommy Smith and Gareth McAuley both likely to be available.

Tommy has missed the last two games after sustaining a hand injury in training that resulted in surgery but he is included in the reserve team squad for this afternoon's game at Luton.

Gareth has been sidelined since being forced off with a thigh injury in the draw at Plymouth and was withdrawn from international duty with Northern Ireland.

"Hopefully Gareth should be available for Saturday and we will see how Tommy is but he should be okay," Town boss Roy Keane confirmed to the Club website.

"The squad is getting stronger with the only two missing being David Norris and Luca [Luciano Civelli] who are both doing well."

Sheffield Wednesday will be missing Tommy Miller on Saturday. The former Blue suffered a hamstring injury in training last week.
