BOSS: WE HAD THE CHANCES TO WIN

Posted on: Sat 21 Nov 2009

Roy Keane felt Town had the better of the chances but was left frustrated as Blues were forced to settle for a draw against Sheffield Wednesday.

Owls' keeper Lee Grant made three excellent saves to deny Alan Quinn, Lee Martin and Jon Stead and Grant Leadbitter had a corner cleared off the line.

"We had the better chances and obviously we are disappointed we didn't take them," the Town boss told the Club website.

"When you keep a clean sheet at home you think you are going to create chance and take one of them but we are simply not scoring enough goals.

"We have been going on for a while about improving defensively and we do look more solid now but I don't know if it's because we have an edginess about us when chances come along, possibly so, but I would have expected us to score with one of the opportunities we had."

Owen Garvan made his first appearance in three months will Roy saying: "He's got a goal in his locker and was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet. He did well."

Alex Bruce is now a concern for Blues after being forced off with a groin problem.
