ROY LOOKS FOR STERN IMPACT

Posted on: Fri 27 Nov 2009
Roy Keane is hoping new loan arrival Stern John can help solve Town's goalscoring problems.

The Trinidad and Tobago international has joined up with Blues this morning after arriving on loan from Crystal Palace until the end of December and will be included in the squad for Sunday's trip to Cardiff.

"I had Stern with me at Sunderland and he did a good job for me there, albeit that being three years ago," Roy told the Club website.

"I know what I will get from him. He won't run behind defenders but if you give him the ball it will stick. We have also been getting a lot of crosses in and he'll attack them, get his head on the end of things. I'll guarantee you that.

"He has always scored goals and hopefully he can make an impact while he is with us here.

"He'll be a good character in the dressing-room, has got a lot of experience and provides something we haven't got.

"We have scored 17 goals in 17 games so far and that's not good enough. Hopefully Stern coming in will help the other strikers as well as provide another attacking option for us."
