Damien Delaney is looking up with Town but only one step at a time.

The Republic of Ireland international has impressed for Blues recently and was man of the match for many in the win over Cardiff on Sunday.

The 2-1 victory extended Town's unbeaten run to seven games with the Club next in action against Bristol City at the weekend. Victory at Ashton Gate is likely to be enough to take Blues out of the relegation places.

"That's the first target, to get out of the bottom three," Damien told Ipswich Player.

"That is my immediate aim and then the next target is to get away from the relegation zone.

"The games come thick and fast through December and there are a lot of points at stake but if we can keep going with the run we are on and pick up more wins then we'll see where it takes us.

"I know people have been saying we are only 12 points off the Play-Offs but that's a long way off at the moment. Of course we can close the gap but one step at a time and the first priority is to get out of the bottom three and away from that end of the table."
