Roy Keane has outlined the importance of bringing in the right players to the Club as the January transfer window opens.

The Town boss has confirmed that as well as trimming down his squad he'd also like to bring in one or two new faces but says adding recruits is often a complicated business.

"There are a lot of hurdles to overcome in signing a player," Roy told the Club website.

"Players generally are in a very strong position, an unbelievably strong position with the freedom of contract. That's why it's so important that when you sign a player, you get the right characters.

"You want players who are going to give it everything, keep their head down and work hard and not cause any trouble.

"Looking at it from both sides, when I was a player and my contract was coming up, I was in a very good bargaining position. Now as a manager, I am trying to do deals with players and it's very different."
