Roy Keane described his team's performance at Blackpool as Groundhog Day as Town were made to pay for a mistake at the back and missed opportunities up front.

Jason Euell scored the only goal of the game with a volley on 54 minutes after Charlie Adam's throw fell into his path via Gareth McAuley's misdirected header.

David Healy, Daryl Murphy and Jon Walters all went close for Blues but Matthew Gilks in the Seasiders' goal held firm.

"I'm saying the same things week in, week out after games. If you don't take your chances you are going to get nowhere," said the Town boss.

"What went on between both boxes I was quite happy with. We created a lot of chances for a team away from home but we failed to hit the target and gave a bad goal away.

"It's like Groundhog Day. I'm saying the same things and we're doing the same things, we're not taking our chances and it's holding back the team and the football club.

"David Healy was unlucky with his header that the 'keeper did well to keep out and I was pleased with the subs when they came on, they all contributed, which is what we put them on for.

"David looked lively and he needs a run of games. Maybe he will get that now. There will certainly be changes for Tuesday's game with Cardiff."
