Roy Keane didn't disguise his anger after watching Town go down at Watford.
Blues went behind to an early Henri Lansbury free-kick and although Jack Colback levelled just past the hour, Will Hoskins won the game for the Hornets 13 minutes from time.
"We never started the game properly, we kicked the ball off after three seconds and that set the tempo for the first half," the Town boss told the Club website.
"We couldn't get out of our box in the first 10 minutes, then we gave a silly goal away and we're chasing the game.
"It was so sloppy and we can't afford to start games that poorly but players are not learning from their mistakes. I keep preaching to them about starting at a good tempo but I'm sick of saying the same things.
"We got back in the game and then gave them another poor goal. We've got no excuses, it wasn't good enough. We let ourselves down and we let the fans down, again.
"I've had some frustrating games this season but the performance tonight was as bad as it's been. We seem to think that because we won two games we could just turn up and take the points.
"Watford looked like they wanted it more than we did and that's the hardest thing to take."
