THEY SHALL NOT PASS

Posted on: Mon 22 Mar 2010

Brian Murphy is looking to maintain his clean sheet record when Plymouth visit Town on Tuesday.

The 'keeper has not conceded a goal in each of his four home games since breaking into the side in February and will aim to make it five when Blues take on the Pilgrims at Portman Road.

"We've had some good results and generally our form hasn't been too bad," said Brian in an interview in Tuesday's matchday programme.

"It could be better of course and the first-half against Watford certainly wasn't what we should be producing. We didn't do ourselves any favours in that game to be honest and there was only one way to go after that and that was to improve and we did that against Barnsley.

"We had the better chances overall on Saturday and although they had a reasonable amount of possession, I didn't really have too much to do.

"The players in front of me kept their players at distance and I only had a couple of dribblers to deal with but as a 'keeper you are always happy with a clean sheet.

"We'd obviously like to be in a better position in the table but hopefully we can have a strong finish to the season and then set ourselves up to really push on next year."

Don't miss Tuesday's programme to find out why Brian says his decision to turn his back on England was the best of his career. Plus Paul Mariner looks back over his Town career and Roy Keane reveals why Mariner and co drive him on to succeed.
