Jack Colback is relishing the challenge of trying to end Newcastle's unbeaten home record in front of a sell-out 50,000 crowd at St James' Park.
Town's Players' Player of the Year grew up a Magpies' fan and looks set to make his first appearance in League football at the ground on Saturday and he can't wait.
"It's going to be a fantastic atmosphere and with 50,000 fans there it will be the biggest crowd I have experienced," the Sunderland loanee told the Club website.
"Their fans are going to be in party mood and looking to go out at St James' is style and maintain their unbeaten home record and we've got to try and end that.
"It's a great challenge but I'm really looking forward to it. As a young player you are always looking to play against the best players and Newcastle have got the best players in this division.
"My mum, dad and girlfriend will be in the crowd and it's going to be a fantastic occasion but we've got a job to do and that's go there and take the three points.
"I've played at St James' Park at reserve team level for Sunderland and scored so another goal would be nice as well but the most important thing is that we go there and get the result we want.
"It's going to be a real test because Newcastle have proved they are the best team and for the people of the North East, I think it's good to see them back in the Premier League. The derby games have been missed up there."
