Posted on: Mon 26 Apr 2010

Brian Murphy has been named in a provisional Republic of Ireland squad for friendlies against Paraguay and Algeria next month.

The Town 'keeper has been included in a training camp by national team boss Giovanni Trapattoni which will take place between May 16 and 21.

The Irish are scheduled to play Paraguay on May 25 and Algeria three days later, with both opponents using the games as warm-ups for this summer's World Cup finals - Algeria one of England's group rivals in South Africa.

Brian has been in the senior squad recently but has yet to win a cap at full level.
