MIXED MEMORIES FOR WRIGHTY

Posted on: Fri 07 May 2010
David Wright says he is leaving Town with mixed memories after three and a half years at Portman Road.

The defender, who turned 30 last week, is now a free agent after being told he will not be offered a new contract at the Club.

Speaking to the Club website, the former Wigan player says: "I've had three fantastic years here and some great memories in that time.

"I've enjoyed a good relationship with the fans and been lucky enough to have had their support and I want to thank them for that.

"I came here to help Ipswich get in the Premier League though so there is that sense of disappointment that I have not achieved that.

"I've got to think about the future now though. I'd like to find a club as soon as possible so that I can get my family settled before the new season gets underway."
