Alex Bruce has joined Leeds for an undisclosed fee, signing a two year contract at Elland Road.
Town accepted an offer from the Yorkshire club earlier this week and the paperwork has been completed on the deal this afternoon after the 25-year-old agreed personal terms.
The Republic of Ireland international joined Town in the summer of 2006 as former Blues' boss Jim Magilton's first signing, putting pen to paper on a three year deal.
He signed a new two year contract in the summer of 2009 but had a mixed season at Portman Road, suffering a groin injury and being in and out of the side but also having a spell as skipper.
Bruce, who finished the season on loan at Leicester, playing in their Play-Off semi-defeat at Cardiff, made 127 appearances for the Club, scoring three goals.
"I enjoyed my time at Ipswich and the fans were fantastic to me. I wish the club every success in the future," he says.
