DAMIEN AND LUCA SET FOR RESERVES

Posted on: Wed 08 Sep 2010

Damien Delaney and Luciano Civelli are set to return to action for the reserves at Portman Road this afternoon.

Town take on Oxford, with kick-off at 2.00pm and the duo have been named in an initial squad for the game.

Damien has not played for the first team since suffering an ankle ligament injury in the defeat at Nottingham Forest in April that curtailed his season.

He returned to pre season training in the summer and played in the early friendlies but then suffered a freak knock that led to a blood clot in his leg which has seen him sidelined since July.

Luca has not played for the first team since sustaining multi ligament damage against Burnley in March 2009.

The Argentina winger returned to football with a run out against Newmarket in Town's first game of pre-season but his comeback was put on hold for a few weeks when he jarred his knee at Leiston.

It will be his first appearance at Portman Road since the game against Burnley 18 months ago.
