Fabian signs
Fabian Wilnis had pledged his future to Town for another year and now has his eyes set on the Premiership.
The popular Dutch defender became a free agent on Thursday after coming to the end of his current deal but put pen to paper on a new contract this morning after a brief meeting with Blues boss Joe Royle.
"I'm delighted to have signed a new contract for another year," Fabian told the Club website.
"This will be my sixth year at the Club and hopefully I can play my part in helping Ipswich get back in the Premiership.

"It will be a big challenge but it's one we are all looking forward to taking on."
Fabian's signing ends any worries that the 33-year-old would be plying his trade away from Portman Road next season.
"I love this Club and the delay over me signing was never a problem, it was just that I wanted to sit down with the boss and have a chat about a couple of things," adds Fabian.
"I did that this morning and signed straightaway.
"I have said before that I would be happy to see out the rest of my career at Ipswich and while you never know what might happen in football, signing a new contract takes me a step closer to that."
