Miller back in the frame

Posted on: Wed 17 Nov 2004

Tommy Miller returns to the Ipswich Town first-team squad for next week's tour to Denmark.

Miller underwent surgery on his jaw over the summer and specialists this week recommended another few days of rest before the midfielder took part in a competitive match.

The 25-year-old sits out of tomorrow's opening pre-season friendly against Peterborough, but is included in the squad that travels to Scandinavia on Monday.

"It's just a precautionary measure," explained manager Joe Royle. "Tommy will be fit and ready for action next week."

The full Ipswich squad is: Barron, Bent, Bowditch, Counago, Davis, De Vos, Diallo, Horlock, Kuqi, Magilton, Miller, Mitchell, Murray, Naylor, Price, Richards, Rivers, Santos, Westlake and Wilnis.

Town will play two matches on their tour, facing Randers on Tuesday 13th followed by AaB Aalborg on Friday 16th. Both games have evening kick-offs.
