Home sweet home for Jason
Jason De Vos is looking forward to playing on the 'fantastic' Portman Road pitch for the first time as an Ipswich Town player.
The Canadian international will line up against Crystal Palace on Saturday in the first of three home friendlies before the League season kicks off on August 7.
It will be Jason's first home appearance at Town after his move from Wigan and he says: "I can't wait to get going really.
"I played at Portman Road with Wigan last season and I can remember the players looking around the pitch and saying 'we'll have some of this'.
"It was a fantastic pitch and with 25,000 there as well, it was a great atmosphere on the night and we played very well to win 3-1.

"I had another look at the pitch when I came down to talk to the gaffer about the move here and the whole set-up is first class.
"But it's no good having a good pitch to play on if you don't perform and we have to look to build on the performance against Oxford when we play Palace.
"They will provide us with a good test and they did superbly well to win promotion to the Premiership.
"Everything we are doing at the moment is geared towards the Gillingham match on August 7 and a good performance against Palace will take us one step closer in our preparation."
There are still tickets left for the friendly against Palace with cash turnstiles in operation on the day. Kick-off 12.00pm.
